Welcome to the website for the Southwyck House Tenants & Residents Association. The block is situated on Coldharbour Lane, Brixton, London SW9. If you live in Southwyck House please consider getting involved – with all the proposed cuts ahead times are going to be tough for all of us – but together we are stronger! Starting from 27th February, 2014, there’s a six week course of sewing classes being held at the Southwyck House Residents’ Hall.
The classes run from 5-7pm and are free.

The Brixton Soup Kitchen and the Southwyck House Residents Association will be holding a Big Christmas Dinner in the residents hall on Monday 23rd December.
Please note that the Southwyck House Residents Association are holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tues 10th Sept 2013.
The meeting will take place at the Southwyck House Community Hall, which is just behind the entrance to the block by Moorlands Road (pass though the short passenger tunnel and it’s on your right).
The meeting starts at 6.30pm. All residents are invited. Please join in and get involved!
On the 9th July, there will be the screening of a documentary all about Southwyck House.
‘Barrier Block – a documentary by Tuuli Manninen will be shown in the Tenants Hall at Southwyck House at 7pm, admission free.
Our hearts go out to the friends and family of Jason Cover, who was a hard working and regular volunteer at the Brixton Soup Kitchen in Southwyck House.
Jason died this morning after an epileptic fit, and he will be a sad loss to the community.
Jason is pictured second left above in a photo feature about the Soup Kitchen that appeared on the front page of the Brixton & South London Press on March 22nd 2013.
The Resident’s Hall is set to enjoy a long overdue refurbishment, thanks to a Channel 4 TV show.
The full filming takes place next week, and we’ll be posting an update in a day or two.
Volunteers will be needed so look out for posters around the block and info on the website.
